Jim’s ability to find humor in the mundane as well as his exuberance for travel, food, wine, languages and the arts is often reflected in his work.

As founder of FCDG, Jim’s commitment to ensuring excellence in design for the firm’s body of work has helped form lasting and rewarding working relationships with clients, industry partners and others who care about environments that are meaningful, full of purpose, and above all else, beautiful.

Jim’s role as principal and mentor is vital in the ongoing growth and development of the team who collectively makes False Creek Design Group the success that it is.

Jim holds a graduate degree in Architecture from the University of British Columbia, is past president of the Interior Designers Institute of British Columbia (IDIBC), past chair of the Architecture Foundation of British Columbia and is the current chair of IDIBC’s Government Relations Task Force.
